What you need before you start
Prepare the following:
- NEX 1.3.0.0 or later installed on Meta Quest;
- A stable, low-latency network connection;
- An account for the cloud gaming service you want to use;
- The input device or control method required by the game.
Cloud gaming must stream video while sending your controls in real time, so network latency is usually more noticeable than with ordinary online video.
Tip: The first time you use NEX Browser, choose a lightweight game that loads quickly and has simple controls. Confirm that video, audio, and input work correctly before trying a more demanding game.
Launch a cloud game in NEX Browser
1 Open Browser
Put on your Meta Quest and launch NEX. Select Browser from the bottom navigation bar, then open the browser.
2 Open a cloud gaming service and start a game
Choose a website in the browser or enter the address of a cloud gaming service, then launch a game.
If the page does not display or respond, check the network, account and regional restrictions, website login requirements, and browser compatibility. Games and cloud services may support different control methods, so first confirm that the game recognizes the input method you are currently using.
Cloud games need to receive input continuously. Keep the interactive panel available while playing, and confirm that switching or hiding a panel does not interrupt control.
Improve game performance
- Use a stable 5 GHz or 6 GHz Wi-Fi connection and stay close to the router.
- Pause large downloads, cloud synchronization, and high-bitrate streaming on the same network.
- If the service offers quality controls, lower the resolution or bitrate first, then increase it gradually.
- Close unnecessary browser tabs or background tasks, then reload the game.
- Test the game briefly to judge whether latency and input are acceptable before starting a longer session.
If the picture is clear but input delay is obvious, the cause may be your local network, the cloud gaming server, browser load, or input compatibility. Check each factor instead of changing only the display resolution.

Can NEX Browser turn a cloud game from 2D into 3D?
Not currently. NEX Browser does not yet support converting cloud games in the browser from 2D to 3D. If you want real-time 3D for a PC game, see the NEX Link PC desktop streaming option below.
Will every cloud gaming service and game work?
Compatibility is not guaranteed. A service may depend on specific browser capabilities, video codecs, protected content, pop-ups, or input interfaces. Parking Panic on now.gg ran smoothly in the team's test, but that does not mean every game on now.gg or another service will perform the same way.
Why will a cloud game not open or respond?
First, confirm that NEX is updated to version 1.3.0.0 or later. Then check the network, account, regional restrictions, and website login requirements. If the page appears but the game does not respond, confirm that it supports your current input method. If the problem continues, test another game or service to help separate website compatibility from a local network issue.
What should I do if the game stutters or disconnects frequently?
Lower the service's streaming quality, stop other bandwidth-heavy tasks, and reconnect to Wi-Fi. If the problem affects only one game or service, that service's server load, region, or browser compatibility may be the cause.
Use NEX Link when you need real-time 3D
If you want to play a game running on a Windows PC, use browser-based Remote Play, or add real-time 3D to PC desktop streaming, use NEX Link:
- Install and open the latest NEX Link on a Windows PC with an NVIDIA GPU;
- Connect the PC and Meta Quest to the same local network where they can communicate with each other;
- Open NEX on Quest, enter NEX Link, and connect to the computer;
- Start PC desktop streaming, then open the game or browser-based Remote Play;
- If you want 3D, enable real-time 3D in the relevant NEX controls.
This method streams the desktop currently shown on the computer to Quest. It is different from running a web game directly in NEX Browser. PC desktop streaming currently requires an NVIDIA GPU, and actual picture quality and latency still depend on PC performance, the local network, and the game itself.
For a quick web-based cloud gaming trial, start with NEX Browser and a lightweight game. Once the service, video, and input all work correctly, decide whether you need the more involved NEX Link PC desktop streaming setup.
