“Free” means a **trial**, not unlimited free access to every feature. The [NEX listing on the Meta Quest Store](https://www.meta.com/experiences/nex-3d-video-player/25092971956976708/) lists the Full Version as an in-app purchase.

## What Can You Try with NEX Free?

The free trial is a practical way to answer your own questions: Do the screen, controls, and viewing environments feel comfortable in your headset? Does NEX work well with your videos? If 3D is your priority, try a familiar short clip and compare it with the trial's [2D-to-3D effect](https://nexplayer.net/en/2d-to-3d).

Here is a quick way to test it:

1. Download NEX from the [Meta Quest Store](https://www.meta.com/experiences/nex-3d-video-player/25092971956976708/).
2. Play a familiar clip and adjust the screen and viewing environment.
3. If you care most about 3D, compare the original 2D image with the 3D result available during the trial.
4. Use the five-minute trial to test the features that matter most to you.

Playback may vary with your headset model, software version, and video source. Trying your own content first is the best way to decide whether to buy.

## What Do You Get with NEX Full?

**NEX Full Version** unlocks all features and viewing environments, plus unlimited 3D conversion. If you regularly watch movies or your own videos in NEX, or often use 3D, the Full Version is better suited to long-term use.

You can watch your personal movie and video collection in different environments. NEX Browser also lets you visit services such as YouTube, Hulu, Disney+, Apple TV, and Prime Video for more ways to watch in VR. For supported video sources, display modes, and environments, visit the [NEX website](https://nexplayer.net/en).

## NEX Free or Full: Which One Is Right for You?

If you are new to NEX or unsure how it will work with your Meta Quest and videos, start with the free trial. A short clip is enough to explore the controls, theater environments, and 3D effect without deciding from a feature list alone.

If you enjoy the trial and expect to use NEX regularly, consider the one-time upgrade for continued access to every feature and environment, including unlimited 3D conversion.
